Having seen a number of ENT doctors, I have been told that it&#039;s silent reflux and that it&#039;s a condition that I might just have to live with. Is this really the case? I&#039;ve been taking Omeprazole but find that it really isn&#039;t effective. How do you treat these symptoms? Post-surgery I did 7 complete days of vocal rest, then slowly began speaking again on 2/5/15. I have worked up to being able to speak for several hours per day and feel that my voice is slowly growing stronger. However, I am still experiencing pitch breaks and hoarseness, and my voice is lower than normal.</p></div></div></div> Fri, 13 Feb 2015 02:00:02 +0000 packedby776 1243 at http://old.voicedoctor.net MY FALSETTO HAS GONE?!? http://old.voicedoctor.net/forum/my-falsetto-has-gone <div class="field field-name-taxonomy-forums field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Forums:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" rel="sioc:has_container"><a href="/forums/singing-voice" typeof="sioc:Container sioc:Forum" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel" datatype="">Singing voice</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>Hello there. The rest of my singing voice is fine, no hoarseness or soreness etc. Is this a common problem or am I just weird haha. Many thanks, in anticipation. I went to see an ENT specialist because the recovery time for a tracheal shave is generally around 2-4 weeks. They did some tests and found that I still had a lot of swelling in my throat as well as vocal cord nodules or polyps, I can't remember which. Prior to my surgery I was loud and my voice had resonance.</p></div></div></div> Sat, 03 Jan 2015 22:31:12 +0000 cliolincai 1231 at http://old.voicedoctor.net
