Vocal cyst

There are mucous glands along the inferior vibratory lip of the vocal cords which may become plugged and fill with mucus. This leaves a cyst beneath the surface mucosa of the vocal cord. She has noted the sensation of phlegm affecting her voice for more than 10 years and feels that her voice has become worse over the past year.
