Amyloidosis of the false vocal cords

Female in her late 30s with a five-year history of hoarseness. She has amyloid deposits within her false vocal cords which have caused them to enlarge. They are putting pressure on the true vocal cords which requires her more effort to get the vocal cords vibrating.

She had a portion of each false vocal cord excised which reduced her vocal effort.
