The bump that you see on the back of the left vocal cord is not a nodule. Nodules occur in the middle of the soft portion of the vocal cord where the greatest trauma during sound production takes place. The picture is a bit blurry for me to make out what the actual structure is on the left vocal process. Occasionally a granuloma will form in this location. However, other growths can occur here such as papilloma. Only a closer and clearer examination can determine what is going on with your vocal cord on the left side.
