Amyloid deposits in the false vocal cords

  Female in her late 30s with a five-year history of hoarseness. She has amyloid deposits within her false vocal cords which have caused them to enlarge. They are putting pressure on the true vocal cords which requires her more effort to get the vocal cords vibrating.

Rigid endoscopic view of amyloid deposits

  40-year-old female with a 30 year history of a hoarse voice. Other members of her family also have a hoarse voice. She has deposits of amyloid within her vocal cords.

Amyloidosis during stroboscopy

  An approximately 30-year-old female with a family history of females having amyloid deposits in their vocal cords. She has had a hoarse voice for about eight years. She has had two prior vocal cord surgeries to remove some of the deposits.
